1. Where were you when you heard that Ronald Reagan died?
At the butcher shop buying some steaks for dinner. Heard it over the radio, and just sort of stood there stunned for a moment. It's like a car crash, you know it's coming, but you still don't quite believe it when it happens.

At the office in midtown, gathering my things as I prepared to meet someone for breakfast. Read about it here.

Stuck in traffic in Cali.
4. Do you remember where you were when you heard Kurt Cobain had died?
Playing hookie from school to work on a car with my father. At the time, I cared more about ignition timing, and I still do.
5. Take one for The Gipper: What’s your favorite flavor of jelly bean?
Red/white/blue, naturally.
6. Where were you when Magic Johnson announced he was retiring from the NBA due to AIDS?
Channel surfing on the couch, as I recall.
7. Where were you when Reagan was shot?
Playground. I was young. Really young.
8.Where were you when the Challenger exploded?
Watching television, saw it live.
9. Where were you when the 0J verdict was announced?
Cutting class to take a girlie for a drive. Among other things.
